Stay Cool this Summer

Every summer, SGLong distributes cooling and relieving gifts to our employees. This year's gift pack is particularly thoughtful, containing eight practical necessities such as a personal wash kit, cooling floral water, mosquito repellent coils, and other necessities to help employees stay fresh and comfortable during the sweltering summer months.

In addition, as peach season is approaching, we distributed a carton of peaches to each employee hoping that they can taste the freshness of the peaches!

SGLong has always been committed to the people-oriented philosophy and appreciates the hard work of our employees despite the high temperature environment.

In order to further care for the well-being of our employees, our company canteen provides regional flavoured mung bean soup from 2:30pm to 3pm every day. This is the hottest time of the day, and the refreshing combination of mung bean and mint can effectively help employees to relieve the heat, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy a moment of coolness and comfort during their busy work.

“5S” Starts with Me

From the beginning of this year, SGLong fully promoted the “5S activity” officially kicked off. How is the activity going so far?

Sheet metal coating workshop equipment in accordance with the product processing process sequence in an orderly and rational manner. To implement the system of responsibility for regional health, each employee can claim their own management area, and the company will do positive incentives. Following the allocation of their management areas, employees have shown great seriousness and responsibility, treating the company as their own home. They conscientiously carry out equipment cleaning and maintenance, mold classification, etc. Consequently, the overall cleanliness of the equipment and workshop is greatly improved, which fully shows that the 5S action is in full swing.

Safety Inspection Month

"Safety depends on responsibility, and responsibility ensures safety; safety is no small matter, the responsibility is greater than the mountain."

SGLong's general manager cooperated with the workshop management staff to carry out a monthly inspection of the workshop safety.

After inspecting the workshops, the general manager provided feedback and guidance on safety production and responsibility to everyone. Everyone must fulfill their safety production responsibilities in their respective work positions, and be down-to-earth, meticulous, and careful in their work.

Celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival

The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as the Duanwu Festival, is a traditional Chinese celebration that falls in the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. As the first Chinese festival to be included in the UNESO world intangible cultural heritage list, this festival carries the weight of the nation’s rich history and cultural heritage. On this day, people commemorate the patriotic poet Qu Yuan by racing dragon boat, eating zongzi and hanging mugwort and also express their reverence and appreciation for nature and life.

In SGLong, we are dedicated to high-quality, high requirement shelving solutions, as well as fostering a strong corporate culture and employee care. Our company upholds the principle of “people-oriented”, and we hope that our employees can feel the warmth of the festival and the care of the company after their busy work.

In this year’s Dragon Boat Festival, we have prepared zongzi gift boxes for each of our employees to express our gratitude and respect for their hard work.

In this meaningful festival, all SGLong employees came together to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival and experienced the charm of traditional culture. Qu Yuan once wrote “The way ahead is long and has no ending; yet high and low I’ll search with my will unbending”. We will continue to strive for a bright future on the road to pursuing excellence.

Strive for Excellence

Employees' proficiency in work skills is a key link that determines the success or failure of an enterprise. Continuous learning and improvement can truly inject fresh blood into the enterprise. Attaching importance to staff training and building a learning team are the necessary conditions for enterprises to maintain competitive advantages. Recently, a wave of internal training has been set off in SGLong’s production center, from rules and regulations to product processes, from case analysis to improvement methods. These efforts aim to provide employees with multifaceted learning opportunities, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of essential knowledge and skills.

The accuracy of the bending size determines the matching degree of the product installation. During the break time, the bending team leader, Mr. Qin, organized a training meeting on the topic of improving the bending process accuracy, and explained it from the aspects of bending identification, quality requirements, processing methods, bending detection, and measuring tool use. Through the cases of the problems found during the inspection of the finished products, everyone discussed, analyzed, and provided improvement methods. Mr. Qin explained everything in detail, and the staff listened very carefully. The training has achieved an expected effect.

In terms of internal training, the bending team has played a good leading role for SGLong's production teams. Building on this momentum, the production department takes each team as the training unit, combines the problems and shortcomings in the processing process, combines theory with practice, formulates internal training plans, regularly organizes targeted training on improving product quality and processing efficiency. While improving the quality awareness of employees, through training, the processing skills of employees can be further optimized and the skills gap between employees can be narrowed. It helps to improve the skill level of the team. Through this internal training activity, SGLong has stimulated the enthusiasm of all employees to learn and created a working atmosphere of "comparing, learning, catching-up and surpassing". This is one of the key points to achieve sustainable development.
